Introspective Noir from the Dutch countryside
I was born in 1962 and live and work in Babberich, a border village in the Netherlands where my stories take root.
With my debut The Girl at the Window, I stepped into the Dutch-language thriller genre.
My style? Cinematic, observational, with psychological depth and a dry touch of humor.
I write as I live: with an eye for detail, a sense of rhythm, and a deep fascination for people and what drives them.
Beyond writing, I’m also a musician in the melancholic rock band Crescent Moon, where I play alongside my sons and brother.
My stories aren't a sprint to the conclusion, but a layered journey through inner landscapes, quiet tensions, and moral gray zones. Always human, never sentimental.
Always noir — but never black and white.
